This week's pick is Dramarama by E. Lockhart (YA LOCKHART).
All Sadye ever wanted was some glitter in her life - a chance to perform for real and for someone to notice. But life in her small Ohio town is anything but glittery. Enter Demi, a fellow outcast and musical theater fan. They keep each other entertained by watching musicals nonstop and performing along, bonded by their antipathy of small town life. Then a real chance comes along - the Wildewood Academy for the Performing Arts is holding auditions for its summer session, and both Demi and Sadye get in. Sufficiently assured of their talent, they proceed joyously to Wildewood. But when they arrive, they find everyone is even more talented than they expected. Demi fits right in and gets leading roles, while Sadye is stuck with leftovers. Demi finds a boyfriend, and the boy of Sadye's dreams doesn't even seem to notice her. Will Demi and Sadye's friendship survive?
