Staff Pick of the Week: Miki Falls

This week's pick Miki Falls: Spring by Mark Crilley (YA MIKI FALLS).

Miki is about to start her senior year, and she's determined this year will be different. No more of the old Miki, eager to please and follow along with what everyone says. And she is not about to let her best friend Yumi fix her up with just anyone, despite Yumi's insistence that a girl without a boyfriend is "just ... sad." As luck would have it, there's a new guy in school - Hiro Sakurai. But Hiro isn't like other guys, and he has no wish to get to know Miki. Yet as she persists, eventually Hiro opens up a little, until Miki almost discovers his secret. Again Hiro turns away from her. Will Miki be able to uncover Hiro's secret?
